Makeup Revolution New-trals vs Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Hi lovelies.  I have something really exciting to show today!  Just when I thought Makeup Revolution could not get any better they bring out the New-trals vs Neutrals eyeshadow palette.

I am completely blown away with this palette!  The pigmentation and creaminess of these eyeshadows are amazing!   It is also a great Fall/Autumn palette for those of you in that season but I am certainly getting a lot of use from these here right now in Spring.

The only downside of this palette is that it does not contain a matte black, other than that this is definitely one of my favourites.  It has a perfect mixture of shimmers and mattes.
You can find this online at Makeup Revolution and it is only $14.96 AUD.  If you are on a budget or just wanting to try one product from Makeup Revolution I highly recommend you pick this one up.  Run don't walk!

Have a great day and keep smiling.  xoxo

Le Tan Express 30 Minute Tan Mousse Review

Hi lovelies, today I thought I would review this new tan from Le Tan as when I purchased it I could not find any reviews online.

There are two options in this express range with them being a mousse or a spray.  You can find them at Kmart, Chemist Warehouse and online at Le Tan.  They both retail for $14.99 each but I bought mine on sale for $10 at Kmart.

Le Tan Express 30 Minute Tan Mousse

With this tan you can choose the end colour by changing the amount of time you keep it on.  They state that washing it off after 30 minutes gives a bronze tan, 1 hour a deep bronze tan and if you leave it on for 2 hours you will develop a dark bronze tan.  I left the mousse on for 2 hours then washed it off.  When you first wash it off you will notice a light tan but be patient as it continues to develop over the next few hours.  For me it developed into a lovely golden brown tan and you will definitely look tanned however I do hope they come out with an even darker version.

It states that there is no fake tan smell but I really don't think any fake tan can not have that smell although this one is definitely a lot better than others.  I find this has a fresh citrus scent and after showering you can't smell anything at all.  They also say this is a green based tan so I am confused as to how the colour that rubbed off onto my tanning clothes was a reddish brown as their other green based tan Fast Tan Dark Bronze left a greenish brown mark on my clothes while developing.

So far I have been using this for a month now and love how convenient it is, no more wrapping myself up in a black satin sheet to sleep.  It's also the fastest drying tan that I have used and it is comfortable while it is on, not sticky like others I have tried.  It slowly fades over 7-10 days with the least amount of patchiness I have ever experienced and it is also really easy to scrub off.  If you like a natural fade you will only need to apply this once a week however if you like to be darker all the time you will need to apply twice a week.

Have you tried this tan and does it work for you?

Halloween appropriate makeup with Makeup Revolution - Give Them Nightmares and Dia de los Muertos palettes Review and Swatches

Trick or Treat!  Here in Australia Halloween is not celebrated much but I thought I would get in the spirit by putting together a mini collection of Halloween appropriate makeup from Makeup Revolution. First of all can we just appreciate the cute packaging!

Halloween Makeup, Makeup Revolution

Both these eyeshadow palettes can be used for a wide range of Halloween makeup looks and are just under $13 AUD each. They both perform amazingly, as usual with Makeup Revolution Products, they are so vibrant and extremely pigmented.  As with all eyeshadow I always use some form of eyeshadow base or primer to ensure the best staying power possible.
First up we have the Dia de los Muertos palette.  This palette has 6 matte and 12 shimmer shades in a wide range of colours.  I think this palette is great for pretty Halloween looks such as sugar skulls, fairies or mermaids.  Also since there are neutral/flesh tones it is amazing for a cat, werewolf, zombie or vampire look.

I love how the names for this palette are so uplifting and positive.

The next palette is Give Them Nightmares which is perfect for an elf, fairy, mermaid or vampy look. This palette also has 6 matte and 12 shimmer shades so you can achieve multiple looks.

Last but not least is the Salvation Velvet Lacquer in shade Velvet Vamp which is $6.45 AUD.  I love this shade but unfortunately after an hour or two of wearing this it starts flaking off really badly in the centre of my lips.  I have other matte liquid lipsticks in my collection that don't do this so prefer to use those but will definitely keep it around for ombre lips though.

I love these palettes and you can basically create endless looks with them whether for Halloween or everyday makeup.  Halloween doesn't have to mean going out and spending a lot of money on SFX makeup as you can create so many looks with normal makeup you already have.  What are you going as for Halloween?

Happy Halloween!
Have a great day and keep smiling. xoxo

L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint Review and Swatches

Hi lovelies, I hope you have been well.  It's been too long and it's great to be back!  I know I am late on the bandwagon but how amazing are the L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints?!

L.A. Girl Glaze Lip Paint

L.A. Girl states that these are 'Super Intense Color, Extra Glossy Finish' and they are not wrong there!  I love that you can put a light layer of this on with your finger for a lipstain or you can go all out and apply opaquely with a lip brush for full on colour.  I highly recommend using a lip pencil if you choose the second option as these will bleed if not.
For the very few people that are late to these like I was I will warn you they have a peppermint scent which may bother some. For me I love the fresh scent which also gives a slight cooling tingle to the lips after first applying.

L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint Swatches
Swatches Top - Bottom. Tempt, Daring, Seduce, Blushing, Elude, Peony and Tango.

There are 18 shades available and I purchased mine from Beautyjoint.  I definitely want more of these!  Do you have a favourite shade or have a recommendation on which shades I should get next?

Have a great day and keep smiling!

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1, 2 and 3 Review and Swatches (Urban Decay Naked Dupes)

Hi lovelies, welcome to my blog.  Since I am madly, head over heels in love with and addicted to Makeup Revolution I thought it would be fitting to feature some of their products for my first post.

Makeup Revolution have extremely pigmented products at an amazingly affordable price and with adorable packaging.  Their sister company I Heart Makeup is just as perfect and the founder of these brands Adam Minto is such a friendly person with a super cute Puggle called Blondie, (I just can't get enough of animals!).  They also provide awesome dupes from high end brands but at a fraction of the cost, what more could you want?!  I have been using their products for just over a year now and I have not been disappointed with anything yet.

For my first review I have chosen the Iconic 1, 2 and 3 palettes which are a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked, Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes.  These palettes cost 4 Pounds each and when my sister picked these up for me, while she was in England last year, it converted to $7.79 AUD.  At the moment with the Australian Dollar so low they are around $8.70 AUD each which is still a steal considering the Urban Decay Naked palettes are $80 or more each in Australia.

I am going to jump straight into photos and swatches and then I'll let you know what I think.  Each underlined eyeshadow palette name is a direct link to the palette on the Makeup Revolution website if you wish to visit it.

All my swatches are always done over a primer or a base as I always use one for my eye looks.  These swatches are all over NYX jumbo eye pencil 'Milk'.  This Iconic 1 palette is an amazing dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette.  I do own the original Naked palette and I will show you comparison swatches at the end of this blog but first of all here is Iconic 2 and 3.

Now here is the amazing part, Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 palette next to Urban Decay Naked palette.

Shade numbers 8 and 10 are just swapped around in the Iconic 1 palette but I have swatched the shades below in the order of the Naked palette.  Top row is Urban Decay Naked and bottom row is Makeup Revolution Iconic 1.

(Photobomb by one of my rescue cats Ariel.  He is always getting in photos as he always has to be beside me and getting pats.)

I think these swatches speak for themselves and I find apart from a slight difference with the matte shades the Iconic 1 palette looks and performs the same as the Urban Decay Naked.  Because of this I find no need to purchase the Naked 2 or Naked 3.  You can buy all 3 Makeup Revolution palettes for a third of one Urban Decay palette which is amazing value.  They are great quality and I can't recommend them enough.

Please let me know below what products you love from Makeup Revolution.  If there is a product from them that you would like a review and swatches of don't hesitate to ask because more likely than not I probably have it.

Have a great day and keep smiling!
